Welcome! I’m Tammy Blomsterberg
Since I was a young girl I felt the calling to be a mother. I’m married to my best friend and together we have four children and two grandchildren. Family is the greatest gift and blessing in my life! I thank God daily for allowing me the honor of being the mother to my children and for my family.
My blog is like a journal for me. It’s a place to share our family adventures along with plant based living, recipes and travel tips to help you save time and money, so you can vacation more and create precious memories with your loved ones.
I discovered a love for travel when I homeschooled our youngest daughter and we studied history. I wanted her to see the places in person instead of just seeing pictures in a book. I promised her we would take her to see The Roman Colosseum, The Vatican, Pompeii and The Roman Forum.
We were able to fulfill that promise and take our daughter to Italy in August 2016. It was the greatest feeling surprising her with the trip. We created so many precious memories together as a family. You can read about our Italy dream trip here. Since then we’ve been able to travel and experience many wonderful things together, thanks to our travel club. We even did a volunteer trip to Guatemala to help build a bottle school. You can read about that here.
Besides family and travel, cooking is one of my passions. It's meditative for me and time flows by when I’m in the kitchen preparing food. To me creating meals with positive loving energy is a way to share my love with family and friends.
I eat a raw vegan diet and my family eats raw along with cooked vegan food. I've been raw vegan for over a year and it's been incredible. I have more energy, feel great and never get sick. I love helping others incorporate more vegan or raw vegan food into their life.
I don’t consider myself a writer, wordsmith or grammar expert. My blogs may not be written perfectly because I want them to be my authentic thoughts without having to edit like crazy to make sure I said everything correctly. I’ve found when I worry about writing perfectly I end up taking forever and not writing.
Life’s journey is better when shared and I'd love to get to know you so please comment and share with the community.
Let’s keep in touch! Sign up for my newsletter and I’ll send you my ramblings as they happen.
Hugs & Blessings,
