During the past few years Christmas began to feel like a chore. I should say not Christmas itself or the cooking because I love to cook. It was the decorating, having to find and buy the perfect gift and seeing all the clutter in our home with all the decorations. My husband even suggested not decorating last year.Read More
I’ve been raw vegan for over a year now! It’s amazing how quickly the time went by. I started eating 100% raw on Sept. 17, 2016. I’d already been vegan for over ten years and was eating a very high raw diet. I was feeling guided to switch to a fully raw vegan diet so I decided to listen to my gut and do it.Read More
I wanted to surprise my husband with an experience to celebrate our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We booked a weekend getaway at a resort & spa in San Diego, but I also wanted to do something on our actual Anniversary. I decided to book a helicopter tour over Los Angeles.Read More
Eating vegan and raw in Italy turned out to be easy. Before we left for our trip I was feeling guided to go fully raw. I had been vegan for over 12 years and my family for over eight years. I decided to do a high raw diet while in Italy because I wanted to try a slice of pizza, pasta or gelato if I felt like it.
Every restaurant we went to knew what vegan was. As soon as we mentioned it, they would say “no milk, no egg, no cheese, no meat etc.”Read More
10% discount on hundreds of LivItaly Tours for Summer 2017!
When we went to Italy one of our favorite tours was a private Colosseum Underground tour we booked with LivItaly. We went to the top tier which you can't do with general admission. We also went to the underground section which isn't open to the public. Our tour host Rachel was incredible and truly made the experience even better. She shared lots of great information and was so much fun. We had a small group of only our family and two other people so it was very personal.Read More
I recently watched a Tedx Talk by Lauren Singer called "Why I live a zero waste life" and it inspired me to live a zero waste life as well.
I decided to start a 30 day challenge and invite others to join me so we can support each other. Even if everyone makes simple little changes, over time they can make a big difference.Read More
It was a nice sunny day here today so I decided to hang laundry outside to dry. It reminded me of our trip to Italy. One of my most cherished moments in Florence was hanging our clothes outside the window of our fourth story flat to dry. For some reason hanging the laundry made me feel like I lived there rather than just being a visitor. It brought me back to my childhood and it felt so authentic Italian to me.Read More
I recently watched “Minimalism - A Documentary About the Important Things” with my family and we loved it! It has impacted our life in a big way. I couldn’t sleep the night we watched it because I had many thoughts running through my head and was so excited to start making some changes.Read More
I’m breaking the rules and I have to say it feels amazing! Before your mind starts to wander thinking I’m breaking the law, it’s not that bad.
I’m breaking some self-imposed rules and things I picked up along the way from other people regarding the best way to do things. I completely respect the law and wouldn’t break those rules.
