You Attract What You Believe

You Attract What You Believe

“It is not what you want that you attract; you attract what you believe to be true.” – Neville Goddard

I was reading “Prayer, the art of believing” by Neville Goddard and this quote really hit me.  I watched “The Secret” years ago when it came out and was so excited to put it into practice.  It didn’t work well for me and I felt like a failure.  I thought I just wasn’t good at using the Law of Attraction.

My Word for 2018

My Word for 2018

I’ve never picked a word for the year before. I’ve heard about it, but I don’t usually make resolutions or things like that for the new year. This year I felt guided to pick a word and right away two words came to me, peace and acceptance.  I prayed and asked for guidance and those words kept coming up, so I decided to accept them and go with it.

Popeye Nice Cream

Popeye Nice Cream

When I went raw vegan, and discovered nice cream also known as nana cream, I was hooked. It’s so good!  It’s like eating ice cream but it’s healthy and doesn’t harm animals. It’s good for you because it’s made with only one ingredient, bananas. You can also add other ingredients to change the flavor but it’s great alone too. My daughters’ favorite way to eat nice cream is plain vanilla topped with our homemade peanut butter.

My One Year Raw Vegan Anniverary!

I’ve been raw vegan for over a year now! It’s amazing how quickly the time went by. I started eating 100% raw on Sept. 17, 2016.  I’d already been vegan for over ten years and was eating a very high raw diet. I was feeling guided to switch to a fully raw vegan diet so I decided to listen to my gut and do it.

Tips for eating vegan and raw in Italy

Tips for eating vegan and raw in Italy

Eating vegan and raw in Italy turned out to be easy. Before we left for our trip I was feeling guided to go fully raw. I had been vegan for over 12 years and my family for over eight years. I decided to do a high raw diet while in Italy because I wanted to try a slice of pizza, pasta or gelato if I felt like it.

Every restaurant we went to knew what vegan was. As soon as we mentioned it, they would say “no milk, no egg, no cheese, no meat etc.”

10% discount on hundreds of LivItaly Tours for Summer 2017!

When we went to Italy one of our favorite tours was a private Colosseum Underground tour we booked with LivItaly.  We went to the top tier which you can't do with general admission. We also went to the underground section which isn't open to the public. Our tour host Rachel was incredible and truly made the experience even better. She shared lots of great information and was so much fun. We had a small group of only our family and two other people so it was very personal.

30 Day Zero-Waste Challenge

30 Day Zero-Waste Challenge

I recently watched a Tedx Talk by Lauren Singer called "Why I live a zero waste life" and it inspired me to live a zero waste life as well.

I decided to start a 30 day challenge and invite others to join me so we can support each other. Even if everyone makes simple little changes, over time they can make a big difference.

Doing Laundry in Florence, Italy

Doing Laundry in Florence, Italy

It was a nice sunny day here today so I decided to hang laundry outside to dry.  It reminded me of our trip to Italy. One of my most cherished moments in Florence was hanging our clothes outside the window of our fourth story flat to dry. For some reason hanging the laundry made me feel like I lived there rather than just being a visitor.  It brought me back to my childhood and it felt so authentic Italian to me.
